Nassau police take another firearm out of the hands of criminals

Reports are that around 3:00pm on Tuesday 2nd February 2016, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team were conducting an operation in the area of Key West and Spencer Streets, when they spotted a suspicious male. The suspect on seeing the police dropped a handgun to the ground and fled on foot. The officers gave chase but were unable to catch the suspect. Police retrieved the weapon and found it to be a .9 millimeter handgun with 13 rounds of ammunition.
