POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING A SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A WOMAN

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, shortly before 3:00pm on Wednesday 17th December 2014, a woman was walking through a track road off Prince Charles Drive, when she was accosted by a man who forced her to have sexual intercourse with him against her will.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)


8 ARRESTED DURING POLICE ANTI-CRIME OPERATION


POLICE are reporting the arrest of 8 persons for a number of offenses including Possession of dangerous drugs, house breaking and outstanding court warrants during an anti-crime operation on Wednesday 17th December 2014.

The operation was aimed at disrupting crime groups and targeting persons involved in criminal activities, such and Drugs and Firearms, Persons wanted for various criminal offences, Prolific Offenders, Persons wanted for Outstanding Court Warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.

The operation, which is consistent with the Commissioner’s 2014 Policing Priorities, was under the command of Chief Superintendents Clayton Fernander and Theophilus Cunningham.

7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of seven (7) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
