RBPF Nassau: Store robbery on East & Bahama Ave - 21 arrests in operations

21 ARRESTED DURING TWO SEPARATE POLICE OPERATIONS

POLICE are reporting the arrest of 21 persons in separate operations conducted by officers from the Southeastern and Southwestern Divisions on Wednesday 18th February 2015.During the operation conducted by Southeastern Division officers, 7 persons were arrested for various offences such as Arm robbery, house breaking and stealing.

During the operation conducted by Southwestern Division officers, 14 persons were arrested for various offences such as, house breaking, shop breaking, possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants.

The Southeastern operation was under the command of Superintendent Maxine Leary-Rolle and theSouthwestern operation was under the command of Superintendent Matthew Edgecombe.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING AN ARMED ROBBERY

POLICE are seeking the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday 18th February 2015. According to reports, shortly after 7:00pm, a man armed with a firearm robbed a store located on East Street and Bahama Avenue of a 40” flat screen television, a large amount of cell phones and a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a dark male wearing a black hoodied jacket with yellow stripes, and a tan pants with a navy blue and white Adidas gym bag.

Investigations are ongoing
