RBPF Nassau: Suspects to be arraigned - Illegal drugs recovered; 3 tourists in custody

SUSPECTS TO BE ARRAIGNED

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police are pleased to announce that two adult males will be arraigned in Magistrate Court at 12:00pm, Tuesday, 30th October, 2018, on charges of Manslaughter by Negligence and Causing Negligent Harm. 

The men are being charged in connection with the boating incident which occurred in waters off Exuma, on Saturday, 30th June, 2018. 

ILLEGAL DRUGS RECOVERED – 3 TOURISTS IN CUSTODY

According to reports, shortly after 12:00 noon, Monday, 29th October, 2018, Central Division Officers arrested two adult American men and an Australian adult male, after their cabin on board the Norwegian Jade cruise ship was searched and a small quantity of suspected marijuana recovered. 

The men are expected to be formally arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THESE INCIDENTS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS), THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 502-9991/2 OR THE NEAREST POLIKCE STATION.
