RBPF Nassau: Three more illegal firearms seized by police

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioners Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team along with officers from the Drug Enforcement Team took three more illegal firearms off the streets of New Providence in separate on Friday 25th March 2016.

In the first incident shortly after 3:00pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team acting on intelligence conducted a search of a bushy area located in Pinewood Gardens, where they uncovered three illegal pistols along with a large amount of ammunition. Additionally, a quantity of marijuana was found.

Then later that afternoon around 5:00pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on intelligence conducted a search of an abandoned building located on Market Street near Robinson Road, where they found a shotgun.

No arrests were made in these two discoveries.
