TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION BY EASTERN DIVISION OFFICERS
Nassau, Bahamas - To men ages 23 and 22 are in custody after they were arrested for a quantity of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 20th January 2015.
Reports are, that around 9:00pm, Eastern Division officers acting on intelligence went to a side road off Yamacraw Hill Road, where they conducted a search of the two suspects and found a quantity of marijuana in their possession. The suspects were taken into custody for questioning reference to the drug find.
6 ARRESTED DURING SOUTHEASTERN DIVISION OPERATION
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Southeastern Division officers conducted an operation in the division on Tuesday 20th January 2015 that targeted persons wanted for various criminal offences.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 6 persons for murder, possession of dangerous drugs and unlawful possession.
The operation was under the command of Superintendent Maxine Leary-Rolle.
8 ARRESTED DURING SOUTHWESTERN DIVISION OPERATION
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Southwestern Division officers conducted an operation in the division on Tuesday 20th January 2015 that targeted persons wanted for various criminal offences.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 8 persons for possession of dangerous drugs, housebreaking and outstanding criminal warrants.
The operation was under the command of Superintendent Matthew Edgecombe.
8 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of eight (8) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
