RBPF Nassau: U.S. visitor drowns off Cabbage Beach - 2 firearms found on Peter Street, Nassau

Nassau Police Investigate Drowning of U.S. Visitor -  Police are investigating the drowning death of a 37-year old American man from the United States that occurred on Wednesday 6th November 2013. Shortly before 1:00pm, police received reports that a man drowned while swimming in waters off Cabbage Beach, Paradise Island. Police on arrival at the scene met the lifeless body of Caucasian male who was pulled from waters by nearby lifeguards. EMS personnel visited the scene and pronounced the man dead.The victim is reportedly an employee of the Celebrity Infinity Cruise Ship that was in port at Nassau Harbour. Investigations are ongoing.

Firearms Tracing and Investigations Unit Officers Seize Two Firearms - In the first incident, around 4:20pm on Tuesday 5th November 2013, officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigation Unit, acting on intelligence, went to a bushy area on Milton Street, where they uncovered a handgun. In the second incident, around 5:40pm on Tuesday 5th November 2013, officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigation Unit, acting on intelligence, went to a bushy area on Peter Street, where they uncovered a shotgun.No arrests were made in these matters. Investigations are ongoing.
