Woman in custody for stabbing incident incident - Suspects to be arraigned in Court today on serious charges

WOMAN IN CUSTODY FOR STABBING INCIDENT

Nassau, Bahamas - Police took an adult female into custody following a stabbing incident that occurred on Sunday 23rd October 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 9:00pm, a man was involved in an argument with a woman at Strachan’s Alley off Kemp Road that led to him being stabbed. The man was rushed to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

A short while later police arrested the woman in connection with this incident.

SUSPECTS TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT TODAY ON SERIOUS CHARGES

The following suspects have been charged by Detectives from the Central Detective Unit and will be arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court, Nassau Street at 11:00am today (Monday 24th October 2016), to answer to the following charges:

• A 24 – year old male of Wallace Road for Murder
• A 25 – year old male of Montrose Avenue for Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm & Ammunition
• A 17 – year old male of Sunshine Park for Burglary, Armed Robbery and Stealing

It should also be noted that last week, police charged a total of eight (8) suspects for a number of serious offences to include, Conspiracy to Comit Murder, Possession of Unlicensed Firearm, Armed Robbery and Stealing.
