Illegal drugs recovered on Potter's Cay Dock

ILLEGAL DANGEROUS DRUGS RECOVERED

Nassau, Bahamas - The enduring and dedicated work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, has led officers to successfully recovering a quantity of dangerous drugs from hitting the streets of New Providence. 

Shortly after 11:00am Thursday, 19th April, 2018 Drug Enforcement Officers, conducted a search of a freight container, while at Potters Cay Dock, and recovered two boxes with suspected marijuana. 

Weight of drugs: 19 lbs.
Estimated value: $19,000.

No arrests were made in these incidents. Investigations are ongoing.

ILLEGAL FIREARMS AND DANGEROUS DRUGS RECOVERED, 3 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

The enduring and dedicated work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, has led officers to successfully recovering another illegal firearm from the streets of New Providence

Shortly after 4:00am on Friday, 20th April, 2018 Flying Squad Officers conducted a search of a home on Ross Corner off East Street, and recovered a shot gun and a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two adult males and one juvenile male were taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing.

PREVENTION CRIME TIP: TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
