RBPF Nassau report 3 shootings, 2 deaths: Sat. October 26th

Nassau, Bahamas - Police in Nassau investigate two incidents that left two men dead.

In the first incident according to reports, sometime around 10:00am on Saturday 25th October 2014, a 37yr old male resident of Abner Street, Fox Hill was walking west on Abner Street when three males in a burgundy coloured van approached him from behind. Two of the makes exited the vehicle armed with an assault rifle and a handgun and began discharging shots at the victim striking him multiple times about the body. The men made good their escape in the van. EMS pronounced the male dead on the scene.

In the second incident, sometime around 10:20pm on Saturday 25th October 2014, a 37yr old male resident of Hospital Lane was walking on Cambridge Lane when a lone male accosted him and produced a firearm and shot him multiple times about the body. The victim ran towards Hospital Lane where he collapsed on the side of the road. He was transported to PMH in a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

Police need the public’s help in solving a shooting incident that has left a male in critical condition.According to reports, sometime around 2:20pm on Saturday 25th October 2014, a 24yr old male resident of Woods Alley was walking on Ross Corner when he was accosted by a lone male who produced a handgun and discharged several shots in his direction. He was struck multiple times about the body. The victim was subsequently transported to PMH in private vehicle and is listed in critical condition.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
