RBPF New Providence arrest more than 30 in various Police operations

33 arrested during 3 separate Police operations
- POLICE are reporting the arrest of 33 persons in separate operations conducted by officers from the South Central, Southeastern and Southwestern Divisions on Friday 20th March 2015.

During the operation conducted by South Central Division officers, 3 persons were arrested for various offences such as dangerous drugs, stolen vehicle and outstanding court warrants.

During the operation conducted by Southeastern Division officers, 16 persons were arrested for various offences such as possession of dangerous drugs, housebreaking and outstanding court warrants.

During the operation conducted by Southwestern Division officers, 14 persons were arrested for various offences such as, house breaking, possession of dangerous drugs, stolen vehicle and stealing.

Two men arrested by FTIU officers for drug possession in separate incidents  - In the first incident, around 3:00pm, officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigations Unit, acting on intelligence went to a home located at Jumbey Street, Pinewood Gardens where they arrested a 22 – year old man for possession of dangerous drugs.

In the second incident, around 3:30pm, officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigations Unit, were in the Joan’s Heights area, where they arrested a 23 – year old man for possession of dangerous drugs.

5 arrested during police island-wide Anti- Crime Operation - Consistent with the Commissioner’s 2015 Policing Priorities, police Island-wide anti-crime operation – aimed at arresting persons involved in criminal activities and crime prevention continues to reap success.

During tonight’s operation police arrested 5 persons for a number of criminal offences to include, possession of dangerous drugs and armed robbery.
