Bahamas Police Commissioner Announces Promotions

Commissioner of Police, Ellison Greenslade, is pleased to announce that Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, has appointed two (2) Senior Assistant Commissioners to the rank of Deputy Commissioner in accordance with the provisions of Article 119(2) of the constitution and acting in accordance the recommendation of the Prime Minister, after consultation with the Leader of the Opposition.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioners are:
Anthony Ferguson, who heads the Force’s Disciplinary Tribunal, Complaints & Corruption Branch, and Force Inspections and Review Branch, Police Headquarters, New Providence
Emrick Seymour

Emrick Seymour, who heads the Grand Bahama District, which includes the Abaco and Bimini Divisions.
The promotions became effective on 1st January 2017.
Commissioner of Police, Ellison Greenslade, in congratulating the two Deputy Commissioners on their appointments stated: “these Police executives have, over many years, served the Bahamas with distinction.
Through their professionalism and commitment to duty, they have ascended to the prestigious rank of Deputy Commissioner and I applaud their appointments. I am confident that they will continue to serve with courage, Integrity, and Loyalty and further commit themselves to our strategic vision for policing The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.”
