POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the island of New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man responsible for an armed robbery which occurred overnight.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm Friday, 31st May, 2019 a woman was sitting in her vehicle in the driveway of a home in Garden Hills, when she was approached by an armed man, who came from the passenger side of a black Toyota Passo. The man demanded the keys to white Honda CRV license # AF6344, got into it and both vehicles sped away.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident Friday 31st May, 2019, which left an adult male in hospital.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm a man was sitting on his vehicle in the Haitian Community off Cowpen Road, when he was approached by an armed male, who shot him multiple times about the body, before running away. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the victim to hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

ILLEGAL FIREARM AND AMMUNITION RECOVERED, 1 MALE IN
CUSTODY

An adult male was taken into custody following the seizure of an illegal firearm and an assortment of ammunition Friday, 31st May, 2019.

According to reports, shortly before 8:00pm, Central Detective Unit Officers, while at Blueberry Hill Road off Fox Hill Road, conducted a search of a man and his vehicle and recovered a 9 millimeter pistol, seventy (70) rounds of ammunition and a small quantity of suspected marijuana.

The man was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before the Magistrate Court next week.
