LARGE DRUG SEIZURE IN FOX HILL DURING POLICE
OPERATION, ADULT MALE BEING SOUGHT
Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Selective Enforcement Unit officers
seized a large amount of dangerous drugs while conducting an operation on Friday 18th November 2016.
Reports are that
shortly before 4:00pm, during special operations carried out by the Selective Enforcement
Team in Cox Street, Fox Hill, ten (10) pounds of marijuana was seized. An adult male is being sought in
connection with this discovery.

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Mobile Division officers took two adult
males into custody following the seizure of an illegal firearm and a quantity of dangerous drugs in separate
incidents on Friday 18th November 2016.
Police will continue to intensify these strategic operations across the island to seize illegal guns, drugs,

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Mobile Division officers took two adult
males into custody following the seizure of an illegal firearm and a quantity of dangerous drugs in separate
incidents on Friday 18th November 2016.
In the first incident, shortly after 5:00pm, Mobile Division officers on routine patrol conducted a search of a
home located on Mackey Street, where they uncovered 22 small packages of marijuana. An adult male
resident of the home was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court early next week to face
formal charges.
Then shortly before 7:00pm, Mobile Division officers were on routine patrol on Ida Street, where an adult
male was accosted, searched, and a .38 revolver was found in his possession. The suspect was
subsequently taken into custody and is expected to appear in court early next week to face formal charges.
