POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN TWO ARMED ROBBERIES
Nassau, Bahamas - In the first incident, shortly after 8:00am on Sunday 17th April 2017, a man was on West Bay Street near St. Alban’s Drive, when a man armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of cash before fleeing in a black SUV vehicle.
In the second incident, shortly after 8:30pm on Sunday 17th April 2017, a man was at his home located on Newbold Street, when a man armed with a knife approached and robbed him of cash before fleeing on foot.
Investigations are ongoing.
DRUGS SEIZED, THREE IN CUSTODY
Consistent with the Commissioner’s
2016 Police Plan, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team took
into custody three males following the seizure of a quantity of
dangerous drugs on Sunday 17th April 2016.
Reports are that
around 1:30pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team acting on
information conducted a search of a premises located on Soldier Road
near Saki Close, where they uncovered over six (6) ounces of marijuana.
The three males were subsequently arrested in connection with this
discovery.
