Nassau police investigate shooting and stabbing incident

POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating a shooting incident overnight, which has left an adult male with serious injuries.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, Sunday, 29th April, 2018, a man was discovered outside a home on Catherine Avenue, Nassau Village, with apparent gunshot injuries to his body. He as transported to hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition. 

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT

Police are investigating a stabbing incident Sunday, 29th April, 2018, which has left an adult male with injuries.

According to reports, shortly before 11:00pm, a male was at a night club on Fire Trail Road, when he got into an altercation with three men. One of the men, produced a knife and stabbed him about the body before all three of them, ran away. The victim was transported to hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  

Investigation continues into this matter.

SUSPECT TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT

Police are pleased to report that a suspect will appear in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 30th April, 2018, at 12:00noon, to be formally charged.

1 adult male to be formally charged with attempted murder, in connection with the stabbing of a female at Marshall Road, on Friday, 27th April, 2018.

Police wish to thank members of the public for their timely assistance and information which has led to the arrest of suspect in this and other matters.
