Royal Bahamas Police Force Medal Presentation Ceremony Held at Government House

Nassau, Bahamas - Governor General Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling presented over 200 officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force with Medals for Meritorious Service and/or Medals for Long Service, and Good Conduct, during a Medal Presentation Ceremony on the Lower Grounds of Government House on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

Medals are being awarded in the following categories of merit:

Gallantry – for those who have performed acts of great courage in extreme danger.

Meritorious – for those who have performed distinguished service characterized by devotion to duty, including prolonged service marked by exceptional ability, merit and conduct.

Long Service – for those who have completed eighteen years of continuous service and who have not been the subject of specified punishments arising from disciplinary proceedings.
