RBPF Nassau: Shooting victim succumbs to injuries - Suspects in custody for shooting incident - 8 arrested by Mobile Division Officers overnight

Shooting victim succumbs to injuries  - POLICE wish to confirm that the man who was shot several times, shortly after 3:00am on Sunday 27th July 2014 at Apple and Peach Streets by a man armed with a handgun, succumbed to his injuries shortly after 8:00am this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.

Suspects in custody for shooting incident - POLICE have taken into custody three men ages 39, 33 and 24 in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Sutton Street off Kemp Road on Friday 25th July 2014.

Two of the suspects were arrested on Friday and the other on Saturday. Investigations are ongoing.

8 Arrested by Mobile Division Officers overnight - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the following arrests overnight:

Two (2) arrests for Outstanding Criminal Warrants
One (1) arrest for Stealing
One (1) arrest for Causing Harm
One (1) arrest for Failing to Give name and Address & Disorderly Behaviour One (1) arrest for Disorderly Behaviour

One (1) arrest for An Outstanding Criminal complaint One (1) arrest for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

CRIME PREVENTION TIP OF THE WEEK - KEEP VEHICLES LOCKED WITH THE WINDOWS UP AT ALL TIMES WHEN PARKED AT HOME OR WORK. REMOVE ALL VALUABLES INCLUDING PURSES, CELL PHONES, MP3 PLAYERS, LAPTOP COMPUTERS, DVD PLAYERS, GYM BAGS, BRIEFCASES ETC.
