Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Police took two male suspects responsible for an overnight armed robbery into custody following a high-speed chase on Wednesday 5th July 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00am, Southwestern Division officers were on routine mobile patrol, when they spotted two males on Fire Trail Road driving a Nissan Note vehicle, taken during an armed robbery on West Bay Street, near Sandy Port around 11:00pm last night. The officers signaled to the occupants of the vehicle to stop, but they refused and sped off a high rate of speed. The officers gave chase and the suspects brought the vehicle to a stop in Pride Estates, where they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Following a short foot chase the officers caught the two male suspects and took them into custody.
