From:TheBahamasWeekly.com Royal Bahamas Police Force According to reports, shortly after 11:00am, Southwestern Division officers were on routine mobile patrol, when they spotted two males on Fire Trail Road driving a Nissan Note vehicle, taken during an armed robbery on West Bay Street, near Sandy Port around 11:00pm last night. The officers signaled to the occupants of the vehicle to stop, but they refused and sped off a high rate of speed. The officers gave chase and the suspects brought the vehicle to a stop in Pride Estates, where they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Following a short foot chase the officers caught the two male suspects and took them into custody. Investigations are going. Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Police took two male suspects responsible for an overnight armed robbery into custody following a high-speed chase on Wednesday 5th July 2017.
