Two men dead in Nassau after two shooting incidents

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving two separate shooting incidents that has left two men dead.

In the first incident, shortly before 3:00pm the victim was standing in front of a residence at Myrton Road off Farrington Road, when a man armed with a handgun shot him multiple times before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In the second incident, shortly after 8:00pm, the victim was walking on Hospital Lane North, when the occupants of a red jeep pulled up and fired several shots at him, hitting him multiple times before speeding off. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force remains relentless in bringing perpetrators of crime and violence to justice, and is committed to protecting the lives and properties of citizens. Police are once again appealing to members of the public to play their part in the fight against crime by reporting all incidents of crime to the authorities.

POLICE are also appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of wanted persons or any information about crimes and other illegal activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) or the nearest Police Station
