Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas - The Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee hosts an annual event called the Red Rose Ball. This year Ross University Bahamas supported the event as executive sponsors. The Red Rose Ball Committee celebrated their 10th Anniversary of promoting and educating through the Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee with their message of “Prevention Now!”

Special visiting guests for the ball were Her Excellency  Nicole Avant, newly appointed
United States Ambassador to The Bahamas who spoke on her administration's upcoming efforts with AIDS awareness;  past US Ambassador to The Bahamas, John Rood; and Katherine 'Kay' Forbes-Smith, The Bahamas' Consul General in Atlanta.

"It's our honour and pleasure to be an executive sponsor of the 10th annual Red Rose Ball. We as an educational institution are focused on training future doctors and HIV is a chronic disease which has impacted so many people across the world, therefore it is important for us to be involved in such a significant event," said Dr. Anthony Munroe, Executive Administrator for the Ross University Bahamas campus.
