11th Annual Red Rose Ball, "All Things Bahamian, Homecoming", November 6th

Freeport, Bahamas - When the group of volunteers coined the theme:  All Things Bahamian, Homecoming, it was known instantly that this would make the 2010 Red Rose Ball truly a night to remember.  Over the years it has been the challenge of the organizers to add spice to usual ball format on the island by incorporating themes from exotic lands that would link our attendees to a taste of different cultures that have become a part of our society.  The most recent themes we have brought to light were centered on China, Africa and India and all have been well received and attended. 

We are predicting that on November 6^th, 2010 at 7:00pm the place to be is the Grand Ballroom at the Radisson at Our Lucaya.   This Black-Tie event is possible through the support of our many partners in the Grand Bahama business community who have generously donated to the cause of the Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee and its slogan “PREVENTION NOW!” and the continued efforts of the Red Rose Ball as its premier fundraising event.

In continuing with this worthy cause the ball has named the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and Mrs. Ingraham as Patrons.  A variety of Special guests are expected to attend and our Guest Speaker, Dr. Kim Jolly representing Florida Atlantic University as an Assistant Research Professor.

Mr. Mark Gardiner and Mr. Brenton Wright has been named as Masters of Ceremony, for this unique night of All Things Bahamian, Home Coming themed splendor, the ever popular local Bands will provide soothing music during dinner, and when its time to take the excitement to the dance floor, be prepared to dance the night away to the sounds of down home Bahamian music by the house Band. Memories will be captured in professional photography by various photographers for a small fee.  So you see this is not an event you would want to miss.

You must come on time so you won’t miss the choreographed dance opening number to be performed by the Bahamas Dance Theatre and local Junkanoo group.

Seating for this event is limited and persons are calling to reserve daily, so if you haven’t already done so today would be a great day as we all know; NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR OF A BLACK-TIE EVENT…Valet Parking is made available at a small charge of $10.00

This release would not be complete if we did not mention that for the purchase of a $10.00 raffle ticket where you could be a WINNER of one of the many fabulous prizes available during the In-House Raffle or during the Door Prize Rewards on the night of the event.
