51st annual Heart Ball tomorrow, February 14th: Heart Month Events Enclosed

Nassau, Bahamas - Valentine’s Day is typically reserved as a day for lovers. A time for chocolates, flowers, fine dining and an evening filled with gifts and surprises. This Valentine’s the Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Ball Committee will host the 51st Annual Heart Ball. They are inviting lovers and friends to join them for an evening of fine dining, great music, gifts and prizes and possibly chocolate, all for a worthy cause.  You can spend time with family and friends, while helping to sustain heart beats…one at a time.

Under the distinguished patronage of her Excellency, Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General and The Right Honourable Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister, and Mrs. Christie, the Heart Ball Committee will host the 51st Annual Heart Ball. The event will be held on Saturday, February 14th, at Melia Nassau Beach Resort. The theme for this event is, “Affairs of the Heart…. Sustaining heart beats one at a time”.

The Annual Heart Ball affords attendees an evening filled with glitz, glamour and fun. Its an opportunity to get dressed-up, look your best and know that your money is well spent.  One of  the highlights of the evening include the presentation of the Lady Sassoon Golden Heart Award. Ths award will be given to an individual who has given selflessly to improve the lives of others.

Additionally, there will also be live, toe-tapping, body rocking performances by The S-G Band (Soulful Groovers), The Royal Bahamas Defense Force Dance Band and the Ed Brice Orchestra.  Additionally, Gary “Super” Johnson will provide music to dance the night away.

Highlights of 2014

If that’s not enough, guests can win fabulous prizes and surprises as table prizes, raffle prizes or auction items. Up for grabs are: First Class/ Business class tickets for two to within the United States and Caribbean on American Airlines, travel for two to Florida on Bahamasair, a round trip ticket for two within the Continental US on US Airways, a stay at Sandals Emerald Bay and so much more. Additionally, there will be fine jewelry provided by local and international designers. There will be Artwork by the Clifford Fernander, Nettica Symonette, and many more artists. The Salus Project will also feature artwork. In addition to these items, there is a Signature Raffle with his and her watches from John Bull’s David Yurman Collection.

In the midst of all the glitz, glamour and fun, we must remember and recognize the cause for The Annual Heart Ball. The Annual Heart Ball is the major fund raiser hosted by The Heart Ball Committee that aids The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation. The Heart Foundations helps to repair the hearts of children who cannot ordinarily afford heart care.

In the word of the Heart Ball Committee’s Public Relation’s Officer, “The Heart Ball Committee is excited as we prepare for the 51st Annual  Heart Ball. Last year we celebrated a major milestone, the 50th annual Heart Ball. We are excited that we can carry on the vision of helping to repair the hearts of others. Despite economic and other challenges, we are pleased to host a wonderful Ball yearly. We are very grateful to our faithful patrons and sponsors and look forward to their support. Seating is still available at the Annual Heart Ball. We are hopeful that others will join us as we seek to raise funds to sustain heart beats, one at a time."
