The Bahamas Humane Society soliciting nominations for the BETTY KENNING B-HUMANE AWARD.

The criteria for BETTY KENNING B-HUMANE AWARD is to be a person who is truly dedicated to improving the lives of Animals in the Bahamas. When being nominated the person submitting the nomination must be able to list all the good works done that have contributed to improving the animal situation here.

The general public is asked to nominate persons know to them that work hard and tirelessly and get little or no recognition. Most of the dedicated animal people here in the Bahamas do their good work purely for the love of God’s creatures and do not expect thanks. We think it is nice to publicly recognize them. We know that they are happy knowing that they are helping the animals, but they deserve a lot more than that. The BETTY KENNING B-HUMANE AWARD is designed to say a big thank you to these people from the Bahamas Humane Society on behalf of the animals who have been saved and helped.

The BETTY KENNING B-HUMANE AWARD will be presented at the Bahamas Humane Society’s Ball on November 14 th, 2009, held at the British Colonial Hilton.

Persons wishing to nominate somebody are asked to submit in writing (250 words or more) to the Bahamas Humane Society (P.O. Box 242   or hand delivered to the shelter headquarters in Chippingham) or by email to bhscruelty@gmail.com (be sure to write B-Humane award nomination in the subject box).

All nominations will be reviewed by the board. Nominations deadline is October 31st at 6:00pm.
