NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Bahamas Crisis Centre held its Annual
Children’s Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St Matthew’s
Anglican Parish Hall on Shirley and Church Streets. An estimated 210 children accompanied by their
parents, who are clients of the Centre, were feted to a night of traditional
Christmas meal, games, toys and prizes.
The Crisis Centre would
like to thank its many donors – organizations and individuals – for generously
contributing to making the evening a special and enjoyable one for the many who
are victims of domestic violence and other forms of abuses.
Leading up to the party, the Crisis Centre held three toy
drives at the Mall at Marathon on November 29, December 6 and December 13 – in an
effort to ensure that each child attending the party would receive a gift. The
Crisis Centre is happy to report that it actually happened.
The Bahamas Crisis Centre is a
non-profit, ideologically independent organization primarily pledged to respond
to the needs of all victims of sexual, physical and psychological abuse.
