NASSAU, The Bahamas - The Bahamas Crisis Centre launched a toy drive at
the Mall at Marathon on Saturday, November 29, 2014. The toys will be wrapped
and presented to the boys and girls, who are clients of the organization, at
its annual Children’s Christmas Party on December 17, 2014 at St Matthew’s
Parish Hall. During the upcoming festive occasion the children and their
parents will be feted to a traditional Christmas meal, games, prizes and
surprises and volunteers will also ensure that no child leaves without a toy.
The toy drive will also be held December 6 and 13 at the Mall. The Bahamas
Crisis Centre is a non-profit, ideologically independent organization primarily
pledged to respond to the needs of all victims of sexual, physical and
psychological abuse. The Bahamas Crisis Centre opened in 1982 and celebrated
November as Crisis Centre Month under the theme: “Don’t Stand By, Stand Up!”
