Beach By Jewel launches crowd funded special jewelry collection aimed at raising awareness and raising funds to cure cancer in The Bahamas

Nassau – The epidemic-like figures of breast cancer throughout The Bahamas are staggering. In an attempt to lower these figures, a new initiative will be launching later this Summer 2017 by C.U.R.E, on the crowd funding website Indigogo, which seeks to help raise awareness about breast cancer, whilst also helping to raise funds to support the great work of The Cancer Society of the Bahamas.

Launching by BEACH BY JEWEL, a luxury brand of swimwear, the crowd funding campaign is offering a jewellery collection of fine and exclusive bracelets and pendants made of pearls and gemstones, sterling silver, white and rose gold. For each bracelet sold on crowd funding, the brand commits to donate $25.00 to
the Cancer Society of The Bahamas.

“I decided to launch this initiative for several reasons”, commented Jewel Smith, CEO & Head Designer at BEACH BY JEWEL. “First and foremost, I’m a woman, and I deeply empathize with other women who have to face breast cancer. I wish to honor Sylvia Scriven, my aunt, and a former local politician, who bravely fought and survived breast cancer, and in tribute to Cindi Smith, a friend of mine who sadly did not survive breast cancer. My swimwear brand is all about complimenting women and their natural beauty. A woman who faces breast cancer has a special beauty that warrants respect and admiration”, Jewel Smith detailed.

The C.U.R.E. crowd funding campaign is offering eight bracelets and pendants with unique designs – the “Survivor” and “Fallen Angel”. They are all available in sterling silver, with exclusive editions in rose and white gold. “Not only are these bracelets and pendants beautiful, but they make striking gifts for everyday wear. The names of loved ones who survived cancer can be engraved on these pendants, as a very special way of cherishing the living, and honoring those whose memories we want to keep alive forever”, the C.U.R.E Bracelet Founder stated.

The “Sorority” bracelet and pendant, which appeal directly to the women of the Sorority Organization, “is part of a collective effort to engage as many women as possible to bring awareness in this fund-raising effort”, Jewel Smith detailed.
The C.U.R.E initiative will launch an exclusive online trunk show for local businesses, churches, schools and groups in the Bahamas today on Facebook at www.facebook.com/curebracelet/. Groups will have the opportunity to purchase in sets of ten C.U.R.E bracelets, and the brand commits to donate $250 from each
set of ten bracelets sold to The Cancer Society of The Bahamas in your group’s honor. Offer ends June 30th 2017.

The C.U.R.E. crowd funding initiative will launch later this Summer 2017 on IndieGogo,. The crowd-funding goal is $25,000, and backers have the chance of supporting the initiative from $1.00 donations, or purchase sterling silver bracelets from $180.00, or exclusive solid gold editions from $1,695.00.
