'JA Month' officially launched in The Bahamas

Nassau, Bahamas - Under the theme: ‘Youth Innovation Leading the Way!’  Junior Achievement Bahamas celebrates its annual JA Month, at which time a number of significant activities will be coordinated throughout the islands of The Bahamas.

During this month, achievers will gather from across The Bahamas for the annual three-day conference, BahamaJAC, which will afford all attendees an opportunity to network and gain insight from lead professionals in various industries.

Simultaneously, JA Bahamas will host its first JA Discover three day college fair that will take place February 24th- 26th at the Kendal G.L. Isaacs Gymnasium 9am to 3pm daily.

‘This year’s activities has been outlined to meet the needs of our achievers to ensure that they can gain the insight to be more innovative and more prepared for the real world that faces them. More specifically, for our family island students this is a packed weekend that ensures they are as exposed as much as possible to career and college opportunities to enhance their overall JA experience,” Mr. Philip Simon, Executive Director.

This month’s activities are designed for achievers, but also alumni, JA parents and all supporters of JA Bahamas. It affords all to celebrate JA Bahamas programmes and continuous contribution to the nation’s youth in the areas of financial literacy, college readiness, entrepreneurship and economic education.
