Bahamas District of Pilot International pay Courtesy Call on Minister of Education, Science and Technology

Members of the Bahamas District of Pilot International and the President of Pilot International paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, the Honourable Jerome Fitzgerald to discuss their campaign of national awareness about brain protection. Nassau, Bahamas - Mrs. Nadia Storr, President-Elect and the members of the Pilot Club of Nassau along with Ms. Judy Langley, President of Pilot International recently paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, the Honourable Jerome Fitzgerald on Friday, 2nd May, 2014. The Pilot Club members explained to the Minister that they wanted to create a national awareness of the importance of protecting the brain from injury through their “Brain Minders” campaign. The target group is school age children from the preschool to high school level. Their aim is to hold twenty-minute assemblies in schools to talk about ways to keep the brain safe. Minister Fitzgerald told the club members that he was happy to see that they were taking the initiative to reinforce brain safety to our children. He also welcomed the President of Pilot International and her guest, Ms. Billie Stoudemire to The Bahamas and encouraged them to experience the local culture that the island had to offer during their stay.
