Freeport, Grand Bahama -
The
Red Rose Ball Committee a non-profit Committee made up of Business
Professionals within the community of Freeport, Grand Bahama has over
the years offered their services free of charge to assist with AIDS
Awareness within the community. The committee has been in existence for
the past (14) fourteen years. We took on this initiative to assist in
fundraising efforts against the fight of HIV/AID in our country, and
like most of the world, we are beset by this menacing problem that is
still ongoing, so we decided as volunteers to take a stand.
We
are grateful to StatOil, BORCO and Polymers International for their
overwhelming support to this cause; we are pleased to inform the public
that while construction is still on going to bring the Center to
completion with these companies support we were able to secure all the
proper windows for the building.
Over the past years we have
reached out to our supporters via e-mails, radio, written correspondence
and oral communication, you have always responded with kindness. The
Red Rose Ball Committee is ever so gracious for the support
andcommitment to the eradication of HIV/AIDS through your support of our
Annual Fundraising events.
With this, we say "Thank you!" for
believing in us, thank you for 14 years of patience and understanding,
14 years of foundation laying, 14 years of information gathering and
disbursement, 14 years of allowing us to entertain you in response to
your generous support. In January 2013 we began construction and we are
happy with the strides we have made with the help and support from you
our supporters. We do understand the difficult times a lot of
persons/business in the community of Grand Bahama is facing due to the
layoffs and down turn of our economy, but somehow you still find the
time to support endeavors for a healthy Bahamas.

We know it may
take a while to complete what we have started, but with perseverance,
commitment and dedication we will continue to peck along until it is
completed no matter how long it takes.
Of all that is good,
sublimity is supreme. Succeeding is the coming together of all that is
beautiful. Furtherance is the agreement of all that is just.
Perseverance is the foundation of all actions. The RRBC is happy to have
reached this milestone. Again, Thank you supporters
We look
forward to your continued support in ensuring of the completion of this
project so that we may continue the work we have started through
education and the Awareness of HIV/AIDS in our community,
This
facility will be used for research, counseling and education which are
desperately needed for the protection our at risk population (teenagers
and young adults). This is the initiative that we are now working toward
at this time, and we look forward to the community continued support in
making this a reality as we; Take the Lead, Keep the Promise by trying
to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS in our Country.
To this end we
invite you to support our upcoming fundraiser ‘The All White Affair
slated for Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at the Cresent Pool, Grand Lucayan,
beginning at 7:00pm.
The RRBC pride ourselves as charitable
volunteers and we feel good in knowing we will be making a difference in
the community of Grand Bahama.
Coming together is a beginning, Working together is progress, but making it happen is success.
