Salvation Army Bahamas Launches 'Christmas In July' as Need Has No Season

Nassau, The Bahamas – During the month of July, The Salvation Army Bahamas has launched its first Christmas In July - Need Has No Season. The Salvation Army’s familiar Red Kettles made their debut on New Providence, Friday, July 8th, 2016 resonating the jolly ting-a-ling-ling of handheld bells that accompanies them.

Christmas In July – Need Has No Season will provide support to the programs and services given to families during the Summer Season.   Christmas In July – Need Has No Season  was kicked  off  by the support of  The Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas  donating   $7,500.00  and several corporate partners Providence Advisors,  Royal Bank of Canada,  Bank of The Bahamas, Harbourside Marine,  Swan Capital Limited,  Scotia Bank Bahamas Limited,  Custom Computers Limited,  Snack Pack, and Graham Thompson & Co each donating $1000.00   to the midyear fundraising initiative.    

In addition The Salvation Army  Bahamas  has partnered with  several  companies who  will wear Tee Shirts  on  Friday, July 22nd & July 28th which will assist in bringing additional awareness to Christmas In July – Need Has No Season.   The Salvation Army Bahamas goal is to raise $25,000 during the month of July.   The funds will provide support to the vital programs during the summer.

The Salvation Army has been actively at work in The Bahamas since 1931 and touches more than 40,000 lives each year.
