NASSAU, Bahamas – Scotiabank is a proud platinum sponsor of The Bahamas AIDS Foundation’s Red Ribbon Ball slated for this coming weekend under the theme, “Winter in Paradise”.

Now in its 21st year, the Ball is the Foundation’s largest fundraising initiative. Scotiabank is an annual supporter of the AIDS Foundation in keeping with the Bank’s global commitment to the fight against HIV and AIDS.

According to Scotiabank’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Public Relations, Leah Davis, “Scotiabank is committed to being relevant and responsive to the needs our local community at the grassroots level. Raising awareness of HIV and AIDS through prevention and education efforts is particularly of interest to us and aligns with the Bank’s global strategy on HIV/AIDS.”

In June of this year, Scotiabank, in partnership with the Ministry of Health National HIV/AIDS Programme, hosted the 4th Annual HIV Testing Day with over 1000 persons tested in Pompey Square during the one-day event.

The 21st Annual Red Ribbon Ball takes place this Saturday, November 22 at Atlantis’ Grand Ballroom.
