NASSAU, The Bahamas—Spring has reached the Caribbean and you know what that means… time to clean out the closets and get rid of all the clothes you never wear. Need some added incentive to start this project? How about clearing some of the clutter while helping out a good cause?
The Salvation Army is holding a Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive this Saturday, April 25th from noon to 4pm. The drive will be held at both Family Thrift Store locations, on Mackey Street and Carmichael Road. Drop off your gently used clothing, books, and house wares, and feel free to shop around for something for yourself.
Donated items are sold in the thrift stores at a very minimal cost. All of the net profits go to help finance other social service welfare programs which the Army operates. Needy persons have priority access to these items at no cost, through The Salvation Army’s welfare services offices on Mackey Street. Your donations can make a difference in someone’s life!
