Nassau, Bahamas —The Salvation Army’s
Adult Blind Workshop would like to invite the business community to an
Open House Monday, September 21, 2009 from 1:30pm until 3:30pm.
There will be tours of the workshop and refreshments will be served
at #11 Ivanhoe Road and Mackey Street.
The workshop gives blind and visually impaired
adults the opportunity to work with dignity and pride. Since 1949
the workshop has produced the finest mops for the local Bahamian market.
Every employee receives full and equitable pay for their work, while
gaining a sense of self-reliance and independence. All of the shops
net profits go back into the community through the Army’s social service
programs.
