Nassau, Bahamas - It’s beginning to look and feel a lot like Fall in The Bahamas especially for hundreds of Solomon’s Fresh Market shoppers who took part in the 2nd Annual Harvest Festival at the Old Fort Bay location.

Pie eating, apple bobbing and pumpkin carving contests set the tone for a seasonal celebration at the store. With live music and free samples, families from neighboring communities enjoyed the festivities and captured the fun posing for photos in the pumpkin patch.

“Who says we can't have Fall in The Bahamas?” asked Angela Lightbourn, Marketing Coordinator of Solomon’s Fresh Markets. “We basically transformed our storefront with pumpkins, barrels of apples, corn stalks and bales of hay for the Harvest Festival. We also set up lots of family-focused activities for parents and kids to enjoy. It’s a way for us to bring the community together and to showcase what’s in store for the upcoming holiday season.”

Next year’s Harvest Festival promises to be an even bigger event with baking competitions, entertainment and more family-focused activities.
