Nassau, Bahamas - This Saturday, flowers and fashion will collide during For Mom With Love 2016: Gardening & Fashion Show at Solomon’s Super Center on the East West Highway.

The store’s Lawn & Garden Department will be transformed to celebrate mothers with a full day of treats and activities. Participants can look forward to gardening tips on growing beautiful flowers year round. Organizers say moms can also learn about shopping for organic produce grown by Bahamian farmers.

“Mothers make up a large percentage of our customer base. What better way to honor them than by celebrating natures beauty with gardening tips, fashion and a little pampering?” said Monalisa Sweeting, event organizer and brand manager at Solomon’s Super Center. “It’s our ‘Ode to Moms’ and our way of saying ‘thank you’ especially to our customers and to all of the mothers employed by Solomon’s for all of the hard work and dedication to raising kids and taking care of their families.”

Lawn and Garden Specialist Sheila Cox of New Castle Garden and Nursery Design will be on hand to show how any garden can be remodeled. Representatives from Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) and Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), will also give tips on yard care and selecting the freshest ingredients for healthy meals. The garden show will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a three-scene spring fashion show at 1 p.m., showcasing the latest clothing for the entire family.

“We will be featuring apparel from affordable brands you know and trust. Attendees can also look forward to free samples from our vendors and great deals on essentials for the home and garden,” Sweeting said. “Bahamian exotic bush tea vendor Beth's Kitchen will also showcase a variety of bush teas and their benefits.”

The first 300 moms will receive free carnations and can enter to win a garden basket. Solomon’s is pleased to partner with BAMSI, BAIC, Beth's Kitchen Bahamian Sweet Exotic Bush Teas, New Castle Garden and Nursery Design and other local vendors. The event runs from 10am to 2 pm and is free to the public.
