Nassau, Bahamas, January 30, 2016—Two lucky shoppers—one at Cost Right, Freeport and another at Solomon’s Super Center in Nassau—drove off in style in new 2016 Kia Sportage vehicles after winning a recent promotion at AML Foods Ltd. participating stores.

The Deals To Drive For campaign started in mid-November and picked up speed just before Christmas and into the New Year. Customers at Solomon’s, Cost Right stores in Nassau and Grand Bahama, as well as Solomon’s Fresh Market had the chance to purchase four items from 19 participating brands to enter to win one of two vehicles.

On Saturday, AML held simultaneous drawings in Nassau and Freeport.  Customers were able to submit entries up to a few hours before the official winners were randomly selected.

Sophia Suzette Gibson, a frequent Solomon’s Super Center shopper, drew key #3, winning the grand prize in Nassau.  “I shop at this store at least two times a week but I make it a point to shop every Thursday when there are new specials,” Ms. Gibson shared after her win.  “I give all thanks to God and to Solomon’s for making my day!”

In Freeport, finalists were just as excited for a chance to test keys in the ignition.

“Since the launch of this particular promotion, our customers at the three locations in Grand Bahama showed great interest in the car giveaway, with persons eagerly submitting entrees up to the final half hour, before the grand drawing,” said Charlene Harding, AML Brand Manager. “We appreciate opportunities to engage shoppers in initiatives where they have a chance to win big!”

AML Brand Manager Monalisa Sweeting said the company is always looking for new ways to incentivize customers to shop and to also giveback to store patrons. “We seek creative and innovative ways to excite our customers not only with savings and specials but through promotions such as this one,” Sweeting explained. “Participating vendors gave full support with sampling activities throughout the stores this past Saturday. Congratulations to our two lucky winners!”

Brands involved in the promotion included Dove, Colgate, Charmin, Del Monte, Clorox, Mahatma, Lysol, Gain, Hellmann’s, Pasta Roni, Aunt Jemima, Robin Hood, Distinction Evaporated Milk, Bounty, AJAX, Pepperidge Farms, Purina Puppy Chow, Pepsi and Chef Boyardee.
