WEST END, Grand Bahama Island – On Thursday, February 9th, the Ministry of Tourism held a Welcome Reception for the participants of this year’s 3rd Annual Blue Marlin Cove Wahoo Classic, scheduled for February 9th – 11th, 2017.

There were a total of 22 boats scheduled participate in this year’s tournament, however due to inclement weather, 13 boats sailed into the Marina with eager anglers, ready to compete in the three-day event, and raise funds for the West End Eco Camp.

Manager for Sports Tourism, Nuvolari Chootosingh, explained that the host property, Blue Marline Cove, is running at full occupancy this weekend, despite the cancellation of some of this year’s expected participants.

The anglers will continue fishing today and again tomorrow, weather permitting.
