ALIV Supports Special Olympics Bahamas National Track and Field Meet

Nassau, New Providence - ALIV volunteers from throughout New Providence showed up on Saturday (May 27) to assist with Special Olympics Bahamas’ National Track & Field Meet. Earlier in the week Chief ALIV Officer, Damian Blackburn, announced to the press a three-year sponsorship with Special Olympics Bahamas valued at $45,000 per year.

Mr. Blackburn gave the official welcome during the opening ceremonies of the meet on Saturday telling the athletes that “they are all winners no matter the outcome.” Chief ALIV Media Champion, Johnny Ingle was also on hand for the meet and participated in the 4x100 mixed relay along with ALIV’s Events, Sponsorship and Community Manager, Bianca Bethel-Sawyer and two other ALIV staff members.

Athletes from Abaco, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama and New Providence all participated in the meet on Saturday.
