Bahamas Baseball Federation set National Championship dates and announces new Officers and Delegates

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island-
The Baseball Federation held its AGM & Election of EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS for 2010/2011. The AGM was held in the 2nd City - (Freeport, Grand Bahama). This is the first time the BBF has held its AGM & Elections outside of Nassau. It was a resounding success, with the total co-operation and support from the Grand Bahama Leagues. The President thanked the Grand Bahama Team for a Job well done and extended his appreciation to Stephen Adderley and Edward Claude for spearheading the organization of the meeting.

MAJOR ITEMS COMING OUT OF THE AGM:

1). Date: National Baseball Championship: June 3rd thru 6th 2010

2). Location: Freeport, Grand Bahama

This will be the first time the Nationals are held outside of Nassau

3). BBF Life Time Achievement Awards: There will be 3 Honorees (Names to be released later)

4). Edward Claude: Little League District Representative announced: BAHAMAS GOVERNMENT has given its approval: 

BBF & Grand Bahama Little League will host: 2010 Little League 11/12 Caribbean Zone Qualifying Tournament.

Winner of tournament: Represents the Caribbean in Williamsport, Pennsylvania (11/12 Little League World Series) - Carried

2009 Tournament Winner - Curacao - Represented the Caribbean

Date: July 10th thru 17th 2010

Location: Freeport, Grand Bahama

The Membership of the BBF has decided, to do its part to assist the economy of Grand Bahama with the hosting of its TWO MAJOR EVENTS in 2010, on the island.

Election of the BBF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE results:

CRAIG KEMP : returned as PRESIDENT: unopposed: He received high praise from the Membership for doing an excellent job leading the organization.

THEODORE SWEETING : returned as SECRETARY GENERAL unopposed: Membership thanked him for properly organizing, documenting and presenting the information of the Federation in a professional manner.

President: Craig Kemp - New Providence

1st Vice President: Etienne Farquarson - Inagua Baseball League

2nd Vice President: Alonzo Pratt - Grand Bahama Amateur Baseball Association

4th Vice President: Edward Claude - Grand Bahama - Little League District Representative

Secretary General: Theodore Sweeting - New Providence

Asst Sec. General: Jeannie Scavella - New Providence - Freedom Farm
