Moment of Silence At All Matches This Weekend

The Bahamas Football Association sends its condolences to the Chapecoense Football Association. The following statement was published on the BFA's website:

“There are no words to express how deeply sorry we are to hear about the tragedy that occurred late Monday night. The Bahamas Football Association send our condolences to your club, and the friends, family and loved ones of those affected by this tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. “

The BFA has also put out notice that a Moment of Silence will be take place at all soccer matches this weekend. Their statement said:

"As many of you are aware, there was a tragedy this past week, with a plane traveling to Colombia crashing early Tuesday Morning. Among others, the plane was crash took the lives of players and staff of a Brazilian football team, Chapecoense, while traveling to prepare for a South American Club Tournament.

These unfortunate moments touch us all, and this weekend we will have a minute’s silence for all competitive matches (youth league and senior league). We will coordinate with the referees department on the protocol of the minute’s silence, and we encourage club administrators, coaches, volunteers, parents and fans to inform others."
