“We’ve already contacted some of the fitness instructors on the island of Grand Bahama; they’re going to be coming out. They’re going to be bringing their people, but its open to the general public, especially those who will be participating in the beach Olympics. It’s going to be exciting and fun,” Rolle added.

The Kiddie Land will feature a bouncing castle, giant slide, rock wall, face painting, balloon animals, popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, candy apple and appearances by the Youth Choir, cartoon characters, DJ Lil Scorpion, a Cultural Fashion Show featuring local kids and lots more.

“It’s a time for family, corporate Bahamas and all of us to come together to participate in fitness, fun, but to also give back. We know a lot of parents are going to be there and you want your kids to be in a safe environment. Lifeguards will also be on duty and there is going to be a lot of police officers out there,” Rolle said.

Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Grand Bahama Spokesperson Yolanda Hanna pointed out that aside from the Music Masters Semi-finals, Bahamian All-Star Concert, Midnight Rush, scrumptious Bahamian food, arts, craft, Rake ‘n’ Scrape, and Junkanoo component of the kick off weekend, the Beach Olympics is one more feature Grand Bahama has up its sleeve to showcase its Bahamian hospitality.
