Bahamas U17 Women's Soccer team to play in CONCACAF Championship

Miami, FLORIDA - The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) conducted the draw for the upcoming Under-17 Women’s Championship this past weekend in Miami Beach, Fla., and the Bahamas will face Group A consisting of host Guatemala, Canada, Panama and Jamaica. Group B is Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States.

The tournament will take place from May 2-12nd 2012 at Guatemala City's Estadio Cementos Progreso.

The finalists and winner of the third-place match qualify for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in Azerbaijan from September 22 to October 13.

A complete schedule will be announced in the coming days, but Group A games will be played on May 2, 4 and 6, while Group B action will take place on May 3rd, 5th and 7th.
 
The semifinals will be played on Thursday, May 10th, with the final and third-place match being held on Saturday, May 12th.
