Bahamas U17 Women's Soccer Team in Dominican Republic

The Bahamas U17 women's team is in Dominican Republic and will place on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 4:30pm in the Caribbean Zone of the Women’s U-17 Qualifiers Group 1 Qualification Round. The national team will be playing at the Estadio Panamericano San Cristobal from the 13 – 20 July 2015. 

Bahamas will next face regional power house Cuba Friday July 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The final match of the competition will be played Sunday July 19, 2015 when they take on Cayman Islands.

The Technical Department of the Bahamas Football Association earlier confirmed the following players:

Chava Roberts, Goalkeeper
Francesca Broughton, Goalkeeper
Eden Cox, Defender
Derrica Ferguson, Defender
Amelia Peterson, ,Defender
Savannah Seymour, Defender
Hanna-Joy Simms, Defender
Mya Bowe, Defender
Meaghan Smith, Midfielder
Jaleah Taylor, Midfielder
Abigail Simms, Midfielder
Ashley Neely,  Midfielder
Tate Cuffy, Midfielder
Mckell Yallop,  Midfielder
Marisa Vietti, Midfielder
Dhuranique Ferguson, Forward
Kenyonique Thompson,  Forward
Gabrielle Simms, Forward
Tyra Mckenzie, Forward
Bijan Daxon, Forward

The team is made up of players from New Providence and Grand Bahama, and has been in intensive training sessions for several weeks. According to Head coach Kevin Davies, "The team has blended well over the past few weeks and I expect an excellent preference from the team.”

The team came off successful pre-tournament matches in Turks & Caicos.
