Bahamas to host Commonwealth Youth Games in July

NASSAU, The Bahamas - The Bahamas is gearing up to host 71 countries at the sixth annual Commonwealth Youth Games from July 19 - 23, 2017.  The Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games will be the largest international sporting event ever to be hosted in The Bahamas, and the largest-ever edition of the Youth Games, with up to 1,300 athletes aged 14-18.  A reception was held Friday, March 24, 2017 at the T A R National Stadium where organizers introduced sponsors and certain disciplines of the upcoming games.  At the podium is Timothy Munnings, Director of Sports of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.  (BIS Photo/Raymond A.
