Nassau, Bahamas - On Saturday, January,18th, 2014, hundreds of young baseball players, boys and girls, enrolled in the Freedom Farm Baseball Youth Development League, gathered at the Holy Cross Anglican Church, to worship.

Together with adoring fathers, mothers, sponsors, coaches, family and friends. they filled the church.

The Players were challenged and inspired to be sportsmen and sportswomen, disciplined and always doing the very best.Parents were encouraged to support their offspring, by attending practices, games and purchasing the equipment for the game...they were further requested to assist the Freedom Farm League, wherever possible, to include coaching, umpiring, scoring and taking care of the fields.

One would not expect to have or see baseball players dressed so colourfully, parents too..they all were regaled in pink!

Pink cleats, shirts, caps, wrist bands, hoses and pink batting gloves;  officials also wore pink...

Following the Service, the seven baseball divisions lined up for the very long parade to Freedom Farm, in Yamacraw.

It is so good to be so very young, gifted and tireless.

With a music truck playing fantastic Bahamian music, the parade headed for their destination..tots,kiddies,proud moms and fathers, marched right along..there were several strollers in the mix.

Every group had their  banners...they were a sea of beautiful colours, stalling traffic along the Prince Charles Drive.

I was so proud of this fantastic activity and the parents, who walked, and walked.

Jeff Francis, Sen.Greg Burrows, Terran Rodgers, were outstanding in their pink outfits..in support of Women with Cancer!

The colour scheme of the Parade, was in support of a noble cause.

The Freedom Farm League, its Officials, Players, Parents and Sponsors must be applauded for such a noble deed...

Arriving at the Park, the players got set for the Opening of the Baseball Season..it was time to Play Ball!

It began at 10:00 am; right on time.

Umpires in Pink...Strike one!
