Freeport, Grand Bahama – Grand Bahama, also known as the Magic City came alive this past weekend as hundreds of Bahamians flocked to Taino Beach for the 19th Annual GB Regatta and the crowd pleasing Sands ‘Man In the Boat’ sculling races.

In an effort to heighten the awareness of the Regatta and as an official sponsor, the Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company kicked off the festivities with a motorcade throughout the streets of Grand Bahama on Thursday July 17th handing out free products to excited persons lining the streets along the route.

This year’s Regatta marked a new beginning as it was cancelled last year due to economic challenges but thanks to community supporters like the Brewery and others, the two-day event was officially opened on Friday evening and welcomed some ten sailing boats and a number of participants from all over The Bahamas.
