Eighteen year old Todd Isaacs Jr, of Nassau, Bahamas has  been drafted to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, June 7th, while Anfernee Seymour, also eighteen was selected by the Miami Marlins.

Isaacs, who has been living in Delray Beach was joined by his father Todd Sr. for the big day. "Wow! I can only be grateful about being selected because there are many sitting at home that could only dream about hearing their named called, so that alone is blessing!" Isaacs told The Bahamas Weekly. "I lived in the same room as Anfernee Seymour who was drafted by the Marlins, so we really worked hard together pushing each other and motivating each other! But we had participated in about 15 different Professional Team invite-only workouts from November up to 4 days before the draft!"

Isaacs attended St. Augustine's College in The Bahamas before attending the American Heritage High School in Florida where Seymour also attended. Both men graduated in May and formally played for the Freedom Farm League in The Bahamas.

Seymour wrote on his facebook page, "Thank you to everyone who is congratulating me, but all of this wouldn't have been accomplished without the help of you guys! Mainly and especially the parents coaches and my freedom farm family! You guys have been here for me through it all and i would just like to say thank you!but it doesn't stop here i would just like to Thank God for everything he has done for me and everything that he is going to continue to do for me! This is truly a blessing and a humbling experience for me! And May God bless everyone who has helped me to accomplish my goals so far! #MarlinsBaseball"

Isaacs told us that a documentary is being produced featuring both Anfernee and himself giving insight into their process leading up to the draft. The film is expected to be out later this year.

We've also just learned that brothers Byron and Brandon Murray were also drafted. Byron went to the San Francisco Giants and Brandon went to the Philadelphia Phillies. Congratulations to all four young men!
