Nassau, Bahamas - Kayla Johnson of The Bahamas Boxing Federation leaves next week for a high-level training course in Mexico.

Coach Johnson was cited as a ‘history-maker’ by Bahamas Olympic Committee and Bahamas Boxing Federation President Wellington Miller.  “…this is an historic first for women’s boxing and boxing generally in The Bahamas,” said Miller; “Women’s boxing is a fast growing sport around the world and when Coach Johnson returns, we hope that she will be able to capture the imagination of young Bahamian women and attract some of them into the fine art and the sweet science of boxing.”
